Here’s Part 11 – Welcome! If you’re interested in seeing the ‘A’ frame about Marshall, feel free to read this entire entry right now, but don’t forget to check out Parts 1-10 to get a feel for the whole ‘A’ frame exhibition which was shown about twenty times this summer/fall. If you want to stay up-to-date, use the cute little form to your right to subscribe to the blog.
We’re right in the middle of the exhibition. Because it’s a non-traditional exhibition that has two entry points, we’ve put some support materials that would normally be at the end, here in the middle. This particular ‘A’ frame is like the others in some ways, but also different. The black and white photos signal that he’s an integral part of S50, yet the layout suggests he’s different from the chosen participants.
The photo is along the same lines as other photos in the exhibition: positive and authentic. The difference: this one wasn’t taken by Marshall, but by EWU’s multimedia specialist, David Lane, down at Boots Bakery. Marshall then talks about his return, the project, and some of his observations about Spokane.
Yes, these are much more impressive when you see them all together and especially printed at 2 feet by 4 feet, but at least you can now see them on the web. Try to get out to a exhibition to experience the full effect. And don’t forget that nominations are still open for S50. Take a moment out of your day to tell us about someone who has been working to make Spokane a better place to live, work, and visit, especially in the arts, music, and culture scenes. Thanks!
